Gold Thread Communications is a global communications consultancy helping purpose-led brands in fashion and beyond amplify their mission to expand their reach, impact, and thought leadership. We work with an international network of creative collaborators that allow us to deliver bespoke storytelling solutions for our clients. 

We pride ourselves on the ability to provide tailored communications services that offer diversity in thought, approach, & cultural knowledge that is human-centered, intersectional, and socially & environmentally conscious. We believe that stories hold power, and those who tell it bear the responsibility to express it with integrity, sensitivity, and a deep humanity. As a trusted steward of your narrative, we take our responsibility seriously to help you build more than a story, but a legacy.

In communications, the “golden thread” refers to the narrative arc that weaves through an organization’s mission, vision, purpose & output. And in Greek mythology, the “golden thread” refers to the invisible link between us and our greatest purpose, otherwise known as our intuition.

Meet the Founder

As the founder of Gold Thread Communications, Ruby brings a 360 degree view of storytelling. Starting her career as a poet, arts activist, and journalist, she leverages her craft in the written & spoken word as a communications consultant & narrative strategist. 

Before founding GTC, Ruby served as the Senior Manager of Storytelling & Global Content at Cascale (formerly Sustainable Apparel Coalition), an industry association promoting sustainable practices for the consumer goods industry and the global supply chain. She started her career working in youth & education focused non-profit organizations and NGOs, and formally transitioned into the fashion industry through her work at the LVMH Group in Paris, France, where she worked on the Corporate Social Responsibility team. She has also been a freelance journalist and content producer for NBC News, where she covered Paris and New York Fashion weeks, producing content merging the fashion and creative industries with social impact.

With a career spanning three continents, Ruby has worked in the United States, Europe, and Asia, offering an international perspective to help clients connect with multicultural audiences. She speaks English, Tagalog and French.
